Hi team,

The customer has some pcb layout questions for DS90UB914A.

Q1: For the 11.1.1 Interconnect Guidelines of the datasheet, it shows "Use differential connectors when operating above 500 Mbps line speed".

(1) What is the line speed? Does it mean the line speed for the RIN+/- pins ?

(2) The customer's camera is 1 million pixels.The transmission rate is 30 frames per second. How to calculate the line speed?

Q2: For the Figure 42. DS90UB914A-Q1 Deserializer Example Layout of the datasheet, do the LVCMOS Routing need to do the equal length controlling?

1. Is it the UB914A d/s that you are referring to?

a. Yes.

b. depend on the sensor/isp's output video format. in general for 1M@30fps camera application, the line rate is ~1.1Gbps.

2. Yes, For parallel interface, the hold/set time spec. should be matched.

A: it is dependent on the sensor/isp's video format. It is ~1.1G. for accurate data rate, you need check it based on sensor/isp's output.
Q2: For the equal length controlling of the LVCMOS Routing, is it referred to the PCLK? How much mil is the equal length controlling range for the LVCMOS Routing?
A: yes, please check the spec. tROS/tROH in d/s.
