Hi,

Is there any difference between TRS3232E-Q1 and MAX3232E-Q1 except working temperature ?!

i didn't find any other difference in datasheets, why numbering code (TRS and MAX) is different ?! does TRS stand for something ? in some other part numbers i saw two chips with same number, one starting with TRS or TLV and other one starting with MAX, TPS ... what's the reason of this numbering method ?

    Hello,

    The TRS* numbering scheme is native to TI, while the MAX* numbering scheme is used to match existing devices in the market. In many cases the TRS* devices are direct pin-for-pin functional equivalents of the MAX* devices, but both part numbers are offered since this simplifies second-sourcing for some customers. You are right that TRS3232E-Q1 and MAX3232E-Q1 do not have any significant differences between them.
