I need your experience sharing for this use case . Would you comment the redriver location is better ?

Or to use two single channel redriver ex: LVPE801 is better ? If yes, any suggestion to put this two redirver ?

I want to verify is this application is for SATA3 (6 Gbps)?

Do you know the cable and board losses?

Hi Terry,

I would only recommend this for a SATA application. For a SATA-3 application I would estimate the PCB loss to be 0.5 dB per inch.

This would require EQ = 1 and DE = NC. I think there is still a risk that the losses will be too high.

Another component to consider is the DS64BR111. This component can use higher DE levels if needed.
