Hello,

Regarding to JTAG I/F on XIO2001, my customer is asking some question..

Due to read PCI Configuration Register from XIO2001 after problem occurred ,

they will use JTAG on XIO2001.

But, these information aren’t described on datasheet.

(Question)

(1) Is this JTAG opened for customer?

(2) Could you please tell me about JTAG probe and Debugger tool in detail?

･JTAG Emulation Tool (Debug probe)

･Debugger tool (Special tool? or CCS? or Eclipse?)

Hi Tao2199,

Customer can use JTAG to control registers on 8.4 register maps.

The tools are at the link below.

I checked this link and I guess that BSDL file is related to debugging.

But I could’nt make clear how to use to read control registers.

My confirmation item is,

(1) JTAG Emulation Tool for BSDL(Debug probe)

(2) Debugger tool for BSDL(Special tool? or CCS? or Eclipse?)

(3) I think that BSDL is used for factory inspection. Is this JTAG opened for customer?

Hi Tao,

The JTAG interface on the device is for factory test and BSDL only.

There is no access to device configuration through JTAG.
