Hi~

Customer want to evaluate TPS2546 for usb charging application.

Is there any special way to test each charging current without special equipment like ipad, galaxy, etc....

When I test with electric load on TPS2546 VBUS, it looks just load switch without USB enumeration so I wonder how to test if TPS2546 works properly depends on device.(Customer will use DCP auto mode.)

    Hi Jin-Suk,
    First, you need understand the current pull out from host is decide by phone. That means, the host charger only advise the capability through D+/D-, but finally, phone need decide to pull how much current from host. If you are using DCP_Auto mode, the best way to test is using real phone. BTW, DCP mode don't care about emuration.
