DP83848C: Default physical address of DP838348C

Hi all,

      What is the default chip physical address of DP83848. 

      In my board am getting 1.75volt in PFBOUT pin  instead of 1.8 V is it ok or any problem is there .

      I cant able to read the physical register of DP83848

    Hey Ramasubbu,

    The default address for the PHY is 00001. Pin 42 has a weak internal pull-up and 43-46 have weak internal pull-downs so that you can override the default address.  I recommend that if you keep the address 00001 that you put discrete 1% or better  resistors to ensure proper biasing.  Check section 6.4.5 of the DP83848C entitled "PHY Address".
