SN75DP130: Power up sequence and Each maximum current consumption of Vddd / VCC

Expert 8760 points
Part Number: SN75DP130

Hi team,

My customer sent us the following two inquiries.

① Power up Sequence

My customer wants to assert SN75DP130DS Vcc before Vddd.

SN75DP130 datasheet says that the SN75DP130DS Vddd must be asserted first and
stable for greater than 10us before Vcc is applied. But the customer says it seems
that the SN75DP130DSEVM Vcc is assertted before Vddd.

I can't ascertain what the customer is saying, because I dont't have SN75DP130DSEVM and
the EVM schematics aren't open to us.

Can the customer assert SN75DP130DS Vcc before Vddd?

② Each Maximum current consumption of Vddd / VCC

SN75DP130 total maximum current consumption(828mW) is described in the datasheet,
but each one is not described.

  Please let me know them.

Best regards,
Fumio Nakano

  • Hi Fumio,

Timing between Vcc and Vdd doesn't matter as long as the device is reset at least 100us after both Vcc and Vdd are stable.

Your customer is right, in the EVM Vcc is asserted before Vdd following the RSTN timing requirements.

The max power consumption for DP130DS is 304mW

    Max Icc is 8mA

    Max Idd is 230mA
