Hi Tiger,

The TRSF3223E does not perform UART functions (parallel-to-serial conversion, data buffering, interrupt generation, etc.), but it can be used along with a UART to translate logic-level serial data signals into higher-voltage RS-232 signals. Please let me know if you have any questions.
