Hello Yamane,
For this kind of implementation, the customer must use a HUB, just take into account that the TUSB2036 is a full-speed hub, if you want HS (480Mbps) we recommend the TUSB4020B.

Diego.
Hello Diego
Thank you for your reply.
Could you please tell us the details a little more.
1: Why we cannot use TUSB211(conditioner device) for this use case? what kind of situation should we use TUSB211?
2: in case of using USB-HUB device (TUSB2036 or 4020), can we use the device in default PID/VID setting?
Must we set the PID/VID individualy?
Best regards
Yamane
Hi Diego,
Thanks for your reply!
I understood. TUSB211 is just signal conditioner. It can not compensate the DC loss. Am I correct?
Regards,
Masa
Hello yamane,
The TUSB211 can be used to expand the cable length as long as the DC loss in the channel allows a minimum amplitude. 15m is a long cable and needs DC gain. The TUSB211 only corrects the signal's slew rate during HS transmissions.

Diego.
hello Diego
Thank you for your answer, does not TUSB211 have amplifier to gain the sinked signal amplitude, does it?
please close this case.

Hello Yamane-san,
That is correct. We have the upcoming versions TUSB212/213 (next couple of months I estimate) that have amplitude gain capabilituies if you are interested (but still 15 meters would require a HUB due to timeout constraints in the USB specification).

Diego.

Thank you for your polite explanation.
I understood it , so please close this case.
