Hello Lee,

If you want to send a fast role wap you only have to SET the TX_FAST_ROLE_SWAP bit in the PHY BMC TX Control Register (0x95, bit 1). On the other hand, if you want to accept a fast role swap, then you must enable its detection by setting the FASTROLE_RX_EN bit in the PHY BMC RX Control Register (0x96, bit 3).

Fast role swap is not supported in BGA package because there is no internal power switch for VBUS. Since VBUS switch is external we cannot guarantee swap time is fast enough.

The TUSB422 is no internal power switch for vbus , but support fast role swap function in spec .
If i want to implement this function , how to implement it ?

I suggest you use a TPS series PD part with an integrated VBUS switch. Those parts are owned by a different business unit so I don't have a direct recommendation for part number.

You might be able to make TUSB422 work if you have very low latency in your MCU control and a large bulk capacitance on VBUS.
