DS90UB940-Q1: Is there any way to reduce system power consumption with maintaining each I2C register values?

Hi Team,

My customer is designing his system to use DS90UB940-Q1 (Deserializer) with DS90UB925Q-Q1(Serializer).
I2C register of DS90UB940-Q1 can be accessed locally but that of DS90UB925Q-Q1 is accessed remotely through BCC from DS90UB940-Q1 in this case.

Is there any way to reduce system (DS90UB940-Q1+DS90UB925Q-Q1) power consumption with maintaining each I2C register values?
I believe PDB=0 resets I2C register to default value, so would like to know if there is another way.
