TUSB501: TUSB501 with 2:1 mux: Decoupling capacitor

I have an Host with USB3.0 port. The host implement AC coupling capacitor in the SSTX pair output. In my board i have a 2:1 mux and two TUSB501 one for the SSTX pair and one for SSRX pair.

I placed AC capacitor like in the attached picture. Is it correct? Thanks

    Hi Nicola,

    If the 2:1 mux is a passive switch, the AC capacitors placement is correct, the other device connected in PORT_B will have it's Tx capacitors too.

    If the 2:1 mux is an active switch, you would need to add capacitors on Tx port of the switch.
