DP83867IR: TX_CLK is not coming:

We are using DP83867IR in our custom PCB with Stratix V FPGA in 100Mbps MII Mode . Power supply is ok . RX section is also working ok. But TX_CLK is not coming . Also Link establishment is coming after too much delay - after almost 1 minute .

Please suggest .

Suggest following:
- Ensure the strap setting are correct particularly the MAC interface selection
- Refer to schematics given in EVM user guide for reference www.ti.com/.../snlu209.pdf
- Refer to debug guide for DP83867 and ensure your schematics/configuration are inline

You were right. Problem was related to Strapping.Strapping was not used in hardware design . So after hardware reset , Strap configuration was taking some random values. After disconnecting from Hard reset, It is working fine. I have one more question. Is there any way to disable strapping ?

Hi,

Strapping of pins allows configure the Phy for certain specific mode without register programming. Which strap function setting you are want to disable ?
