XIO2001: TI XIO2001 PCIe to PCI chip error message shown in windows event log

Hi Team

we're facing an issue that, when we "scan for H/W changes" in Win10/Win8 device manager(Fig1 below), we will see an error message in system event log(Fig2 for details).
That log shows a "corrected hardware error" related with XIO2001.
Personally, I guess this error should be fixed already when we see this message as it's a corrected error.
But, we need to check with you "have you ever heard of something like this or similiar issue?" Do you have any idea on what may cause this message? Thanks.

Hello,
It is probably a hardware issue, can you share your schematic?
Are you able to measure the PERST#, GRST#, PCIE_REFCLK signals?
Can you try updating the driver to a "PCI-to-PCI Bridge", it should be included on the operating system.
Can you try on another platform?
Does it happen with a different operating system? Like windows 7?

Please show the information in the "Details" tab.

And the XIO is the device that reported the error; the cause might be something else on the PCI bis.

Bit 13 = ANFES: "Advisory Non-Fatal Error Status. This bit is asserted when an Advisor Non-Fatal Error has been reported."

The possible causes for ANFES are listed in sections 6.2.3.2.4.1–6.2.3.2.4.5 of the PCI Express Specification. In this case, this was probably an Unsupported Request completion because the host tried to access a nonexistent device.

This is normal when scanning for new devices. This message can be ignored.
