Part Number: SN65HVD62

Hi;

   The datasheet of SN65HVD62 described that  SN65HVD62  modulate and demodulate signals between the logic (baseband) and a frequency suitable for long coaxial media. But how long of the coaxial of SN65HVD62 could support?

    Hi Kailyn,

    It just depends on much loss the cabling has at the AISG carrier frequency of 2.176 MHz. The HVD62 transmitter output amplitude can be adjusted from 0 dBm to +6 dBm, and the receiver input is able to detect input signals as small as -15 dBm (nominal spec). The difference between these amplitudes implies the amount of loss that can be tolerated in a cable.
