TUSB1002: 220K ohms Rx2 pull-down resistors

Part Number: TUSB1002

Few days ago i found the updated datasheet for TUSB1002. I noticed the addition of shunt resistors and AC coupling capacitors on Rx2 of re-driver.

After doing the suggested modifications i was getting some problems with TUSB1002 re-driver. Somehow, i found answers to these problems, but i am not able to understand why these shunt resistors were added to Rx2.

Can you please tell me about the impact of adding these shunt resistors on the performance of TUSB1002 ? Your help will be really appreciated.
