DS250DF810: QSFP related application

Hi,

The customer is plan to use DS250DF810 for zQSFP+ application with 2 questions as below.

  1. Can DS250DF81/VDD share the same 2.5V rail with the DDR device on the same system?  Any specific concern here?
  2. Based on Figure 15 from datasheet (see Green block as below), customer is asking can they have zQSFP+ application as below?

      • Should not be an issue, as long as VDD decoupling is implemented per retimer datasheet, and the host power supply circuit can provide enough current for the retimer
    2. Based on Figure 15 from datasheet (see Green block as below), customer is asking can they have zQSFP+ application as below?
      • Yes. such application case is supported
