TPS65982: GPIO configuration

Part Number: TPS65982

Hi Team,

I want to configure GPIO behavior: After GPIO1 receive high then output high on GPIO2?

I did not see this setting option on TPS6598x Application Customizer tool.

Could you please help?

Thanks

  • Hi Daniel,

That is not a GPIO event that we support. You can find all of the configurable GPIO events in the following App note: www.ti.com/.../slva838.pdf

These are all included in our TPS6598x Application Customization Tool.

    Thank you,
    Eric
  • Hi Eric,

    Thanks for your help.

There are another GPIO question, please help to confirm.

Our application is Type C sink device, support 9V/12V/15V/20V PD power sink.

We want GPIO active high when 20V input, active low when 15V/12V/9V/5V input. But we didn't find Sink PDO Negotiated event on Mapped Event item.

Please help to confirm if there are suitable Mapped Event option can achieve the requirement?

    Thanks

  • Hi Daniel,

We do not have a GPIO event that will only be high when sinking 20V. However, we do have a SINK >12V event. This GPIO event will be triggered when the SINK contract is greater than 12V. So in your application it will be high when you have a 15V or 20V sink contract.

    Thank you,
    Eric
