TCA9555: About setting holding function at power interruption

Part Number: TCA9555

Hi,

Could you tell me about TCA9555?
Does this device have a function to hold the setting of input port and output port when power interruption for several seconds?

When it restarts after a momentary interruption,
Customer is concerned that data will remain.

Best Regards,
Yusuke/Japan Disty

  • Hello Tsukui,
This part does not have non-volatile memory, therefore, when the voltage falls below Vpor it will loose all its settings. If you know the signature of the fault condition you may be able to put a large enough bulk capacitor to hold the supply up long enough that it will not fall below the Vpor threshold during that event.
