About TI's DS91M040 125 MHz Quad M-LVDS Transceiver

I 'd like to request for more described information.

Applicable IC data sheet: SNLS 283 M,

[DC Electrical Characteristics / SUPPLY CURRENT]

Driver Supply Current 67 mA - Typ 75 mA - Max

Receiver Supply Current 32 mA - Typ 38 mA - Max

Does this current consumption include the operating current of all 4 ch transceivers?

If you include the operating current of all the transceivers, when you stop individual elements

What is the current consumption? In case of

(For example, when using only one driver enable and other Disable, is it possible to think that it is 1/4 current consumption?)

Hi Shing,

The total device current with 4 drivers enabled is 75mA max

The total device current with 4 receivers enabled is 38mA max

Each "enabled" driver contributes ~ 19mA max

Each "enabled" receiver contributes ~ 8mA max

Each "disabled" transceiver contributes ~ 7mA max

For your example 1 driver enabled, 3 channels disabled: 19mA + (3 x 7mA) = 40mA
