May I know where is the best placement for PCI810 ,Can I base on Gen3 SPEC to place DS80PCI810 on 6~8db loss for 4GHz

Hi Kai,
The DS80PCI810 is flexible with regards to the actual placement in the channel. I would try to keep the DS80PCI810 at least 8-10 dB @ 4GHz away from the system Tx's. This will give even the lower data rate signals some distance to attenuate.
What is the total channel loss from the host to the endpoint in your system? I can help give you good settings to get the system running.

Hi Kai,
I would place the DS80PCI810 in the middle of this channel. I would recommend using the CTLE setting of 20K to GND. It will provide enough boost for Gen2 or Gen3 operation.
