SN65LVDS387: 1.8V inputs/outputs compatible driver / receiver

Part Number: SN65LVDS387

At present, my customer is using 16 channel LVDS driver (P/N - SN65LVDS387DGG) & 16 Channel LVDS receiver (P/N - SN65LVDS386DGG). The corresponding input for driver & output from receiver are of 2V. But, the FPGA that is interfacing with these chips handles 1.8V.

So, he is using a voltage translator in between these chips and FPGA.

Do we have LVDS driver/receiver of 16-channels, that handles 1.8V inputs/outputs so as to avoid the voltage translators?

  • Hi Prahlad,

At this time, TI does not have an LVDS driver / receiver that interfaces directly to 1.8V. Our recommendation is to use a level translator between the FPGA and LVDS driver / receiver.

Can you please let me know what type of end equipment is using these devices?

    Regards,
    Ryan
