LMH1219: lmh1219 reference design

Hi team,

This is the reference design schematic of lmh1219. I would like to know can this chip work without software configuration.

Because I just want to use this chip to convert single-ended to differential, do not want to use it for equalization and clock recovery.

Can I only connect the OUT_CTRL to H, and not configurate the chip?

    Yes, this chip can work without software configuration. You will need to set the correct pin settings in order for the device to operate as expected.

    Yes, you leave OUT_CTRL = H to bypass the cable EQ and reclocker. For IN_OUT_SEL, if you are only using OUT0, you can leave IN_OUT_SEL floating.

    What is your application for the LMH1219? Do you have a block diagram of your intended use case?

    I understand it.

    My application block diagram is as followed.

     I only want to use lmh1219 to convert single-ended to differential, and lmh1218 to convert differential to single-ended. Then I can process the SDI data in Altera A10 FPGA.
