Hi Kunvichet,

The latest version of the tool is Version 3.08. Could you download the latest version of the tool from ti.com and retry the test?
You can download the tool from here: www.ti.com/.../tps6598x-config
We have had many fixes since version 2.15 and I want to confirm you are not seeing an issue that has already been fixed.

Hi Eric,

It seems the new firmware fixed something but also introduced something else. Below is the test result. The column "Results on Old Hardware" had the old Firmware and the "Results on New Hardware" column was programmed using the latest firmware per your suggestion.

Test Area		Results on Old Hardware	Results on New Hardware	Comments
USB PD	Communications Engine	FAIL (GSC- REC test Failed)	FAIL (Get Caps Test Failed)	GetCaps test failing on the current hardware. GetCaps still passes on the old hardware which has the old TI firmware.
	Deterministic Engine	PASS	FAIL (PD.VNDI.E5. Source Capability test failed)	PD.VNDI.E5. Source Capability test failing on the current hardware, but passes on the previous Hardware. This could also be because of new updated TI firmware issue
	Type C Functional	PASS	PASS
	PET	N/A	PASS
	Quadramax	PASS	PASS
	Interop	N/A	PASS

Hi Vichet,

Can you explain the changes in hardware between the Old hardware and the New hardware. Can you also confirm that the configurations are the same on both boards with only the FW low region being different?
