DS80PCI102: Using DS80PCI102 in 2-lane system

Hello,

Is it possible to use 2 similarly-configured DS80PCI102 single-lane repeaters in 2-lane PCIe Gen2 system, one for each lane? Will the PCIe link initialize normally despite being split into two devices?

    Hi Michael,

    Yes the PCIe link will initialize normally.  Each DS80PCI102 will attempt to detect valid receivers and the configuration will behave as a single link.  The DS80PCI102 does not snoop the protocol so multiple devices on a link does not present any issue.
