DS90UB914Q-Q1: When does it sample the MODE input pin?

Part Number: DS90UB914Q-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS90UB913Q-Q1

When does the DS90UB914Q-Q1 sample the MODE input pin?  Does it sample it once after power on or being sample continuously?

I plan to use this IC to interface with two different type of cameras with the DS90UB913Q-Q1 chip in it.  One camera is with the PCLK of 27Mhz and the 12-bit data and another camera is with the PCLK of 80Mhz and 10-bit data.

I want to use the same board and be able to initiate the DS90UB914Q-Q1 with different resistor value(controlled by a FET switch) being applied to the MODE pin of the DS90UB914Q-Q1 to make it operates in the 12-bit low frequency mode or 10-bit mode (20 to 100MHz ) mode.

Can I use the PBD pin of the DS90UB914Q-Q1 to put it in idle mode, change the resistor value to the MODE pin and turn it back on again in order to change its operating mode?

Thank you!
