DS100MB203: Link training issue

Hello,

              The MAC of customer output 10G-KR signal to DS100MB203. But the input and output signal through DS100MB203 are much different. And the link training is fail. Could I know what is the reason for that? If any, please help provide comments. Thank you.

    Hi Patrick,

    Please describe the 10G-KR channels connected to the MB203 and outline the DS125MB203 settings.

    Good information to include is channel length, connectors, cables, and attenuation at 5 GHz.

    Hello Lee,

                 Below is customer topology. The CPU has no link up for MAC. But if bypass MB203, MAC will receive loop back signal for link up. Do you have any comments for that? What are EQ/VOD/DE parameters similar to bypass for MB203 to let customer verify? Thank you.  

    MAC=>5 inch trace=> MB203=>11 inch trace=> CPU

    (MB203: EQ=0dB, VOD=1.1V, DE= -3.5dB)

    Loop back

    CPU=> 11 inch trace=> MB203 => 5 inch trace=> MAC (Return to MAC) 

    (MB203: EQ=25dB, VOD-1.1V, DE= -3.5dB)
