Hello

My customer had been used TMDS261B, but now they need 2:1 HDMI switch which is compatible to HDMI2.0 .

HD3SS215 seems to meet that ( , but data sheet removes the discription of HDMI2.0 as revision history.

Changed Description text string from "....DisplayPort 1.2a..." to "...DisplayPort HBR2..." and from "..HDMI2.0.." to "...HDMI..."

Q1 Why data sheet had been changeed from HDMI2.0 to HDMI?

Q2 Does TI have HDMI switch for HDMI2.0?

Hi Kanji,

We are reviewing this datasheet, the change may be done to reflect it supports HDMI protocol and from electrical characteristics, it can handle data rates up to 6Gbps.

Some customers get confused with protocol features between HDMI versions and subversions, this device just switches the electrical signals.

The HD3SS215 can handle the data rates from HDMI2.0(6Gbps)
