DS90CF366: How to use DS90CF366 RGB666 as RGB565 convertor?

The output of DS90CF366 is 18bit which gives us RGB666.How to use DS90CF366 to produce RGB565 signals which means a 16bit output?

Hello,

There just be two (2) unused bits in 18-bit (666).

What is critical here is what the mapping of the panel requires.

Hi Darryl Jeong,

Using the DS90CF366 to convert LVDS signal from FreeScale imx6 Dual/Quad to RGB display.

Currently I have question about the RGB Signal mapping from DS90CF366 to display connector (using SPWG/VESA/PSWG)

Please help me to check the signal if i have bit mapping correctly.

Attached the schematic for the TI-deserializer and bit mapping of the LVDS signals from FreeScale imx6 Dual/Quad .

I have considered R0 and B0 as unused pins and i have grounded them in design.

Hello,
The mapping coming out of the FreeScale imx6 will map directly out of the DS90CF366 the user must make sure the mapping to the display is correct as this is not in our control
