Paralleing up dual buffers or inverters for more driv/sink current capability

Hello,

Does anyone know if it’s ok to parallel up the outputs for additional current drive/sink using dual buffers such as TI - SN74LVC2G17DBVR or inverters TI - SN74LVC2G14DBVR?

I know with the older "AC" family of parts this was commonly done but I am not sure if this is possible with this family of parts. If it is done would it damage the part and /or reduce its life expectancy?

Thanks in advance for your help.
