New USB 3.1 Gen 2 Products?

Hi,

I'm a senior design engineer with a large multi-national company and we're currently developing a family of USB 3.1 Gen 2 products. We're looking specifically for re-driver or re-timer ICs and have found that many MFRs are just coming out with ICs in this space and aren't quite to production yet. We're looking at your TUSB1002RGER, but to ensure we consider TI's best offerings in this space we'd like to inquire if there are any other Gen 2 re-driver or re-timer type products you might have in development that might be at/near the engineering samples stage right now?

Hi Matt,

For USB 3.1 G2 we have TUSB1002 and for Type-C projects we have TUSB1042I, TUSB1044 (coming soon) & TUSB1046 / TUSB1064 (coming soon) for ALT mode.

Some if not all of these products will use Type-C connectors so TUSB1042I will be of interest for sure, and possibly TUSB1044. Is there any preliminary documentation available for TUSB1044? I'm new here, but 99.9% sure there will be an NDA already in place between my company and TI. Because I'm not sure whether this thread is publicly available I've avoided using the name of the company I work for. If this documentation might be available can we switch to direct email communication?

Yes the TUSB1042I looks very interesting. When will the part be in production? Are engineering samples or eval boards currently available?
