TPS25740: TPS25740 vaux/dvdd on time?

Just trying to play with a TPS25740 design. Am I reading the datasheet correctly that both DVDD and VAUX are only activated after sink attachment?

Hi Marek,

The DVDD pin can be used as a sink attachment indicator because if a sink is attached the pin will be pulled high. The VAUX pin is used internally for the power management circuitry. VAUX pin will normally draw power from VPWR unless a sink is attached in which case a USB PD contract will be made and VAUX will draw power from VDD.

Hi Marke,

After some testing in the lab, both DVDD and VAUX pin are high when a sink is attached to it. Using a 5V contract sink attachment, DVDD will pull high to 1.8V and VAUX will pull high to 3.8V. Hope this answers your question
