Need SDIO 3.0 Buffer for 200MHz Clock

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TWL1200

Hi There,

I am looking for a SDIO 3.0 buffer which can support the SDIO clock frequency of 200MHz. Can somebody please help me to provide the part number for that.

Regards,
Khemraj

  • Hi Khemraj,

Do you have the voltage specifications for the clock signal? I believe for SDIO 3.0 the clock is single ended with LVCMOS voltage levels, in which case you could consider the CDCLVC11xx family of LVCMOS buffers (where xx is replaced with 02, 03, 04, 06, 08, 10, or 12 for the number of outputs). You can confirm that these parts fit your application by verifying that the voltage levels of the inputs (Vil, Vih) and outputs (Vol, Voh) are compatible.

  • Dear Tim,

I am looking for a buffer which can support both the 4 data lanes, 1 Clock Lane, 1 CMD signal. These SDIO lines are operating on 1.8V. Can you please suggest any part which can fit into this requirement.

    Khemraj
  • Hi Khemraj,

I am not sure what the specifications of each of those signals are. I would suggest starting with the Buffer/Driver/Transceiver family of parts and then using the parametric search to narrow down the options here: www.ti.com/.../products.html

Also, TWL1200 is an SDIO voltage translator, but it is possible to set the input and output voltage to the same voltage to use it as a buffer:
