TUSB212: Is DC boost effective if HS eye diagram is ideal?

Hi Team,

Is DC boost feature (DC gain: 40mV, 60mV, 80mV) effective if HS eye diagram is ideal?
I would like to confirm if we can observe DC boost feature by oscilloscope even when there is no signal loss.

Not a significant improvement, I recommend to use this feature when the design actually needs it.

I would like to confirm just in case.

Can we observe DC boost feature(DC gain: 40mV, 60mV, 80mV) by oscilloscope even when there is no signal (cable) loss?
Or does the feature only compensate the voltage when voltage drop is occured that is caused by signal (cable) loss?

Yaita-san,

Once it is configured it is a fixed value and compensates all the time, not only when it is needed.
