TPS254900-Q1: Output and BIAS TVS

Hi,

I received the following question from my customer.

It is mentioned about "Output and BIAS TVS" on the datasheet 9.2.2.4.

Though it is referred in the case of 16/18V battery, is a TVS required in the case of 12V-battery?

    Hi Kuramochi-san,

    The problem is even custeorm use 12V-battery, when the output short to battery, there maybe some ringing due to some parastic.
    So we use TVS in case the voltage exceed 18V, which is max OUT sustain voltage.
