HD3SS213: Supporting V-by-one HS

Part Number: HD3SS213

Hello,

Regarding to the V-by-one HS on HD3SS213, my customer is asking a question.

(Question)

Is this device supported V-by-one HS?

According to datasheet, the data rate of DA/B/C is up to 5.4 Gbps.

Therefore I think that it will be available to V-by-one HS. (4Gbps max)

If so, is there any point to notice or concern?

They will use 8 devices for 1:2 and 2:1 switch.

Regards,

Tao2199

  • Hi Tao,

This device is intended for DP1.2; if V-by-one has similar electrical characteristics it should work fine.
Besides taking into account the supported data rate I would also check the supported differential voltage 1.8Vpp max and the supported common mode voltage 2V max.
If V-by-one parameters are within range you can use the HD3SS213 for your application.

Will each device switch 4 different devices at the same time?

    Regards
