tca8418: master can not get the ACK from tca8418

when i write to tca8418, address is 0x68, but master can not receive the ack.

why?

Try using address 0x34.

Thank you for your reply.

The address 0x34 is wrong obviously. I tried it.

Actuallly it is caused by hardware problem.

Now i faced that when reading any register of tca8418,the result always 0xff.

Hello Max,

It is my honor to share my solutions.

The issue i encountered is that the master can not get the ACK from slave.

I can make sure the driver program is ok. So i think there is someting wrong with my hardware.

First we should check the Vcc3.3 supplying for tca8418.

Then make sure the pullup resistor for reset pin .You know the reset time must longer than 120us.

Finally, remember that the tca8418 is 0110 1000(0x68).And the last bit 0 means write.
