DP83867 supports DP83640 PTP fuction?

Hi Billy,

DP83867 supports Start of Frame Detect function and not complete PTP functionality as with DP83640. Please refer to following document on feature details.

If you can explain the use case you are trying to achieve with reading to PTP_RXCFG2, I can help with suggestion on DP83867.

Im going to get device destination ip address connected with dp83867 by lan cable.

Can I get dest ip address using dp83867 like dp83640 PTP_RXCFG2 value?

Hi Billy,

No DP83867 does not looks into the frame details. You have to implement the logic on higher layer to decode the IP address.
