Im checking DP83640 TDR Cable Diagnostics function.

Identify which pair has a fault

I'd like to know what register has pair has result  of pair fault?

    Hi billy,

    The pair that has the fault is based on the pair that gets checked by the TDR. The TDR by default checks the TX pair.

    Transmit Channel Select: The transmitter can send pulses down either the transmit pair or the
    receive pair by enabling bit 13 of TDR_CTRL (16h). Default value is to select the transmit pair.

    Check the status of bit[13] in the TDR_CTRL register to see which pair is being tested by the TDR.
