TPS65982: PP_HV state when flash empty and source connected

Hello everybody,

I would like to know what's the state of PP_HV if the flash is empty and we plug in a source (could be PD or not) ? (the device is supposed to work as a consummer afterwards...) Should the device allow 5V to go through?

What does the compliancy say about it? Is there any way to configure the device to allow 5V to go through with an empty flash?

Hi Daniel,

Figure 65 of the TPS65982 datasheet highlights the dead-battery flow of the device. If you have 1.8V on the BUSPOWERZ pin and the RPD pins are connected to the CC pins, then the device will close PP_EXT before loading an app config from the SPI Flash.
