TPS2553D: Current limit & RILIM.

Hi,

On the website, under the parameters table, TPS2553D can support 1.7A continuous current. But in the datasheet, it is written 1.5A continuous current. Which one should I follow?

In order to make sure the current limit stays above 1.6A, we use 1.63A to do the calculation and it gives 14.7k resistor value. The resistor value is slightly lower than minimum 15k value. Would it be OK? What would happen other than current limit if the resistor value is lower than 15k?

    Hi Yong Teo,
    Sorry for the confusion. The parameter may be something wrong. TPS2553D can support 1.5A continous current max.
    If you use lower resistor slightly lower than 15k, it should work. But we didn't do char so will not guarrentee spec.
