DS90UB954-Q1: The connection for DS90UB913A-Q1

Part Number: DS90UB954-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS90UB913A-Q1,

I would like to confirm the connection of DS90UB954-Q1 and DS90UB913A-Q1.

In this case, can we use the external oscillator mode of DS90UB913A-Q1 (datasheet of 913A P21) for DS90U954-Q1?

In the datasheet P139, there is the description; the sensor module with DS90UB913A-Q1 needs local reference clock

I can not understand local reference clock for the camera module.

Best regards,

Atsushi Yamauchi

  • Hi,

Can you show a block diagram of what you want to use?
Also in the UB913A data sheet there is no page 139? Can you double check?
  • When using the 913A, it is not possible to use clock reference from the 954 backchannel. The 913A must be configured for PCLK from imager or EXT CLK modes which are described in DS90UB913A-Q1 datasheet.
  • Dear Liam-san,

Thank you for your response and I'm sorry for the late of my response.

The customer checked it, but they could not do the path through fot I2C.

I attache the log and the concept for the customer.Book1.pdf

I think they set the resister for the mode and de-coupling capacitor, they can do it.

Are there any settings for the register of DS90UB954-Q1 for connecting DS90UB913A-Q1?

    Best regards,

  • Hello, the block diagram looks correct.
The DS90UB954 should be set to RAW12 HF mode to properly receive the input. This can be done by MODE pin or programming register 0x6D. Please see table 1. in the 954 datasheet
