Hi

I would like to ask about the following application note. That is mentioned about the configuration with a power supply and load switch (such as TPS2041 and TPS2061). (please see figure 4)

This configuration is very simple.(This configuration (single port) is what the customer want. )

Does this configuration support iPhone and Android?

The customer's condition; no emulation and Io=500mA(max) and D+/D- is connected with <200ohm.

    Hi ,
    tps2041 and tps2061 just power limited device to limit the output loading current .
    Since it don't has the D+ and D- pin for logical conmunication, so how many current phone can load it depend on mobile phone itself behavior .

    We understand these device just limit the output power.

    If the phone load the current more than the load switch limit,the VBUS voltage is going down? Or the phone just behave to load a current below the current limit of TPS2041 or TPS2061?

    I know it is not about the device. However could you give us any advice if you have any reference design for the above configuration?

    HI ,
    When the loading current exceed the limit threshold , current will be limited and Vbus is till maintain. If you want to support Iphone and Sumsung phone charge , you need to add TPS2513/14 for hankshke with the phone.
