SN75LBC175: Is there any replacement for the IC with VCC 5v & Output in 3.3volt

Hi,

I have designed a PCB with the component SN75LBC175. The SN75LBC175 IC is used to provide 5V output, But our FPGA will work fine upto 3.3Volt only.

In our design, the SN75LBC175 output is directly connected with 3.3V FPGA. So the FPGA will get damaged. To avoid that, Is there any other IC's available with the same feature except 5V output (We need 3.3Volt output).

    No, unfortunately I don't know of any device that would be powered by 5 V but provide a 3.3-V logic output. If you aren't able to change the receiver's power supply, then the simplest solution would be to use a level translator between the FPGA and the LBC175 device. If you are able to change the receiver power supply to 3.3-V, though, then you could simply use a different receiver IC that has been designed to accommodate the lower supply voltage. One example to consider is AM26LV32E.

    Is there any Drop_in replacement for the IC SN75LBC175 with open collector output?
    Note: So, We can design internal pullup with 3.3V within the FPGA.

    No, we do not have any drop-in replacements that have an open-collector output, and so an additional component would be needed for the level translation.  Here is a simple example implementation for your reference:

    I would like to use 3.3volt supply voltage,5volt acceptable receiver IC. Can you please tell me the exact replacement for SN75LBC175, only difference is 3.3v supply and output.

    Just to confirm - do you mean that the RS-485 interface should tolerate 5 V? If so, any 3.3-V powered transceiver should be able to meet that requirement. (The RS-485 standard requires that transceivers be designed to support at least a -7-V to +12-V operating range on the bus.) Some example devices would then be SN65HVD72 or SN65HVD10.
