Hi Francisco,

Thanks. For the reference schematic, the customer has other questions as below:

Q1: Set I2C: (a). Set GE=0, (b). Then LC_SCL and LC_SDA are used as the I2C port. And LC_SCL and LC_SDA

are communicated with MCU?

Q2: On page 4 of the reference schematic, how to connect these GPIO pins? floating? or be connected to MCU GPIO pins directly?

Sorry for my delay.

A1. Yes, you are right. You will control the I2C interface with the MCU.
A2. If you will use the I2C interface and no need these GPIO pins, you can let them float or can let them connected directly to MCU as the schematic shows.

Hi Francisco,

Thanks for your support. The customer refers to our reference schematic. And he designs his schematic.

His schematic is in the attach. Please check the attach. He sets GE=0 and the GPIO pins that is on page of the

reference schematic are floating. But the output pins for TMDS442 are only the 5V level voltage, not the image signal.

Is this normal? If it is abnormal, would you continue to provide some suggestions?

I send you my comments:
When GE = low, the configurations are done through a local I2C interface, LC_SCL, LC_SDA, LC_A0, and LC_A1 pins, and the 5V_EN can be programmed through the local I2C interface.
In case of our referent schematic, these part on page 4 are headers, with these headers you can configure this part.
In case of VSADJ They'll need a 1% precision resistor of 4.64K connected from VSADJ to ground, this is recommended to allow the differential output swing to provide TMDS signal levels.
Please, check the resistors on HPDx and also the by-pass capacitors, those are different than our recommendation.
Also, performing double check on our reference schematic.
