DP83822I: Does the DP83822 Support EEE using the RMII mode?

The data sheet and app notes indicate that the DP83822 supports Energy Efficient Ethernet. It also supports the RMII interface.

However, it is not clear if EEE is supported when using the RMII interface. 

Does the DP83822 Support EEE using the RMII mode? Or only in MII mode?

Does the use "TX_ERR for LPI Request" also work in RMII mode?
