DS90UB953-Q1: one question about DS90UB953 and DS90UB954

Part Number: DS90UB953-Q1

Hi,

Our customer is studying the datasheet of DS90UB953/4 and have some questions:

It seems support RAW10 in RX(954) side from datasheet. So, Does RX(953) support DVP & MIPI, But TX support MIPI only?

if customer want TX can support both MIPI and RAW10, which part should considered?

Thanks.

  • Oliver,
I think you are confused by something.
Regarding the RX mode of UB954, it is mapped with serializer's video input. when using UB913a/933, you only can set UB954 at RAW10 or RAW12 H/L modes. But UB954's video output always is MIPI I/f.
For UB953, it has same definition, when linking with UB934, the video input is either RAW10 or RAW12 H/L. but the video input for UB953 always is MIPI I/f.

For the link between UB953/935 and UB954/936, you must configure mode as CSI ONLY.

    best regards,
    Steven
  • Hi Steven,
Thanks a lot for your explanation.
customer also wants to know if UB913A/914A can support 1080P@30fps RAW 10Bit data or not .

    Thanks.
  • Oliver,
you can calculate the PCLK, if PCLK is <100M, UB933/934 can support it. please be noted now we promote UB934 in new projects to replace UB914a.
For your case, if 1 pixel only needs RAW10, our UB933/934 can support THE 1080p@30fps & RAW10bits@pixel.

    best regards,
    Steven
