I want to do an application eDP to eDP for long distance (20 m from each side) and I want to use a DP cable, then 40 m in total. I have an FPGA from the source side and two monitors at sink side. I also want to use a switch to change for each monitor but them have different resolution available. Can you recommend me a switch to have this connection and also can you tell me if this connection could be possible with the help of the redriver? If I want to use eDP from my FPGA, which signals I have to use?
could be like this:
FPGA => 20 m cable => redriver => 20 m cable => switch => monitor 1 and 2.
One monitor works with UHD and the other with HD.
I also would like to have the ability to change between eDP to HDMI, could be possible to do this change?
