Dear Expert

Do you know if this device can work with 3.6 V at VCC and 1.2 V at VDD as constant voltage with no problems?

Can you provide an IBIS-AMI model of DP159?

Can you provide the relationship between distance and pre/de-emphasis configuration? How the inter-pair and intra-pair skew is affected by this parameter modification?

Hi Shun,

VDD = 1.2V is no problem, VCC = 3.6V is acceptable as long as 3.6V is the maximum voltage.

The IBIS-AMI model for the DP159 is currently under review. We will provide it once it has been updated.

There is not a direct correlation between distance and the pre/de-emphasis configuration, it is application dependent. Typically, if the intra-pair skew is marginal in a system, then setting the de-emphasis to -2dB and adjusting the Vswing will resolve the issue by speeding up the transitions. Emphasis has less impact on inter-pair skew.
