How many times can the IC operate the current limit without decreses reliability? If there are any data, could you provide it including test condition?

when we did validation for this part, we let TPS2549 worked in current limit mode, run 48hours, and TPS2549 can still work very well.

Hi, Thank you for your feedback. We have a couple thing to make sure.

- Could you tell us the test condition(R(LIM_HI), Vin, Rout))?
- Was the IC entering to the thermal cycling during the test?
- How about the reliability of the IC after the test? Are there any concerns of reducing the reliability at this test condition?

Hi,

Vin=5V, Vout=0V, R(ILIM_HI)=19.1K.
Yes, it entered thermal cycling.
after this test, TPS2549 still worked normally, we didn't find issues after the test. Actually, we are still using it now.
